Research Interests
Ocean & climate history as told by shells & skeletons.
I am a marine scientist who delights in the multiple perspectives gained through use of various disciplines. I endeavor to address societal needs through my work whether that is by cogenerating research objectives with end-users, applying an environmental justice framework to marine and coastal issues, and/or democratizing knowledge through science communication.
I recently earned my doctorate in Earth and planetary sciences from the University of California, Davis. My dissertation centered on the deep sea and approached ocean change through biogeochemistry, chemical oceanography, and critical physical geography.
